The ARA Institute of Canterbury in New Zealand has adopted Australian Training Products’ eCoach system into their portfolio.

ARA Institute of Technology used to have pen and paper resources for their students. However, they saw the need for digitising their resources to make sure these are easier kept up to date.
By using eCoach as their platform, the teachers and staff can see the progress of their students and also find out which areas the students still need to improve on. This flexibility has allowed the teachers to focus a lot more on the practical side of the studies and thus giving the students more time to practice and apply the theoretical knowledge that they have gained through the resources.

Another benefit that the ARA Institute of Canterbury loves is the easy way of managing the content. The content can be distributed in any way that the teachers like, allowing the teachers to change the way that the courses are set up. This makes for an easier way of improving the classes and the engagement rate of their students.

One of the major positive points of eCoach, according to Mark Sycamore from ARA Institute, is that it is possible to use eCoach on the go. Since it is a digital learning environment the students can access the program “on the go”. Whether it is on their mobile phone, tablet or laptop, the course material is always easily accessible. This allows the students to do research whenever they want, but also allows for the teachers to easily recap the previous lessons with a more visual approach.
